The Gold Coast offers the LONGEST whale watch season in Queensland. And nowhere else will you be able to SEE whales within 20 mins of departure. In comparison, you will need to travel for 1 - 1.5 hours if departing from Moreton or Harvey Bay before spotting any of the creatures.
Not only do we see whales on their way to the warmer waters to mate but we also see them on the way back. So, double the viewing, so to speak. But Humpback whales aren't the only species which makes an appearance, so to do the Killer whales and sharks who are after some easy prey.
